Bangladeshi Archery team advanced to the 2nd round of the Compound Mixed Team in the 2018 Archery World Cup Stage-4 held in the German city of Berlin on Thursday.
Bangladesh Mixed Team consists of famed archer Rumman Sana and Nasrin Akhter beat Lucy Mason and James Mason of Great Britain by 156-155 score in the first round to reach the 2nd round of the meet.
Bangladesh Compound Mixed team, which made an event’s record score of 156, will play the 2nd round match on Friday morning.
Rumman Sana, who reached the 3rd round of Recurve Men’s Singles, beat his Chinese Taipei and Russian rivals in the first two rounds but lost to Kim Woojin of Korea by 2-6 sets in the 3rd round.
Bangladesh Recurve Men’s team lost to hosts Germany by straight 0-6 sets.
In the Compound Men’s Singles, Ashim Kumar of Bangladesh lost to Valereo Della Stua of Italy by 140-141 score while Abul Kashem Mamun lost to Antyom Gankin of Kazakstan by 130-133.
In the Compound Women’s Singles, Bonnya Akhter lost to Ingrid Olafsson of Sweden by 121-128.unb
