Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Tuesday said women should boycott Khaleda Zia as shepatronises militancy, superstition, razakars and communalism.
Companions and patrons of militancy, superstition, razakars and communalism are the great enemies of women, said the information minister while addressing a discussion programme organised by Jatiya Nari Jote at Shaheed Colonel Taher auditorium here on Tuesday.
“Khaleda Zia, despite being a woman, has insulted all women of the country by patronising the great enemies of women. So, women of the country should boycott her,” said the information minister.
“They will have to avoid companions and patrons of the militancy,” said Inu.
To end gender discrimination, they need to continue their fight courageously, said the minister.
Inu requested all guardians not to get girls below 18 years married and also to encourage married women to avoid taking babyafter the age of 35.
“Women should not marry drug addicts,” he added.
JSD General Secretary Shirin Akhter MP, coordinator of Dhaka City JSD Mir Hossain Akhtar, National Juba Alliance President Roknuzzaman Rokon, JSD Women Affairs Secretary Umme Hasan Jolmal and Syeda Shamima Sultana spoke on the occasion while convener of Jatiya Nari Jote Afroza Haque Rina presided over the discussion.
Nahid Sultana Rozi, Nilanjana Rifat Suravi, Bangladesh Chhatra League Central Parliament Shamim Ahsan Habib also addressed the programme.unb
