Bangladesh have lost one rating point in the ICC Ranking despite winning the three-match ODI series 2-1 against lowly ranked West Indies on Saturday.
However, the position (7th place) of the Tigers, achieved in the ICC ODI Ranking in 2015, was not hampered due to the loss of the rating point.
Bangladesh started three-match ODI series against the West Indies with 7th place having 93 rating points. However, they went down to 92 rating points for their one defeat against their lowly ranked 9th placed West Indies with the rating points of 70.
The Tigers added one rating point to their credit (94 points) beating West Indies by 48 runs in the first ODI, but lost three points (91 points) after conceding a three-run defeat in the 2nd match.
Finally, Bangladesh improved one rating point (92 points) beating hosts West Indies by 18 runs in the 3rd and final ODI to win the series 2-1.
Bangladesh had a good chance to improve their rating points to 95 had they won the ODI series 3-0.
Australia are now ahead of Bangladesh having 6th place in the ICC Ranking with 100 rating points while Sri Lanka followed Bangladesh in the 8th position having rating points of 77. unb
