Filmmaker Raj and DK’s zombie comedy ‘Go Goa Gone‘ was loved by the audience for its absurdity and hilarious one-liners. Happy with the kind of response the film garnered, its makers are now gearing up for its sequel five years after the release of the film.
Interestingly in ‘Go Goa Gone’, Saif Ali Khan played zombie slayer but now in the sequel, he will be fighting aliens. Yes, you read that right. Dinesh Vijan, who had produced the first part is on board for the sequel as well. Revealing details about the highly anticipated sequel, he told DNA, “It’s a really crazy fun script. Last time, we had zombies. This time, Saif and the gang will fight aliens. It’s set in Manali and has been titled ‘Go Goa Gone 2: Babaji Ki Booty’. We plan to begin shoot sometime in the second quarter of 2019 because otherwise, Manali will be too cold for us to shoot in.”
Talking about why they came up with a sequel, Raj told DNA, “Wherever we go, people kept asking for the next part to ‘Go Goa Gone’. We realised that there must be something about the film, which the people really connected with. So, both DK and I decided that we should come up with a sequel. We were working on an idea and it came through really well.”
‘Go Goa Gone’ starred Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta in pivotal roles. It has to be seen if all of them reprise their role in the sequel or are there any changes.
