Bangladesh Women’s cricket team suffered their four successive loss against hosts South Africa in the five-match ODI series after a 154-run defeat at Diamond Oval, Kimberley on Friday.
Earlier, Bangladesh conceded nine-wicket defeat in their last two matches, starting the campaign with a 106-run loss.
Chasing a target of 231 runs, Bangladesh finished the innings on 76 for all in 33.2 overs where Fargana Hoque (22 off 48b; 1×4), Shamima Sultana (17 off 53b; 2×4) and Sharmin Sultana (11 off 33b) were the double figure scorers for the side.
Shabnim Ismail (2/8), Raisibe Ntozakhe (2/10) and Sune Luus (2/12) demolished more than half strength of Bangladesh, sharing six wickets for SA Women.
Batting first after winning the toss, SA Women scored 230 for 7 in 50 overs spurred by two half centuries by opener Lizelle Lee (70 off 102b; 9×4) and skipper Chloe Tryon (60 off 42b; 6×4; 2×6).
Jahanara Alam (2/54) and Nahida Akter (2/36) shared four wickets for Bangladesh.
Besides sparkling with bat, Chloe Tryon got one wicket for 11 runs with ball and was adjudged player of the match.
The 5th and last ODI of the series will be held at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein on Monday.unb
