No one to die for lack of treatment: Zahid

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque on Saturday said no one will die for lack of treatment in remote areas as health services will be delivered to people’s doorsteps speedily.

Attending the prize-giving ceremony of Jatirjanak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman High School as the chief guest at Bhagabanpur of Sadar upazila, he also said branches of all the organisations of the Directorate General of Health Services will be opened in Manikganj.

Due to public awareness, the child and maternal mortality rate has significantly been decreased while the average life expectancy has risen to 72, the state minister said, adding that Bangladesh has done much better in the health sector than the neighbouring countries.
