Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and the National Film Observance Committee will observe the National Film Day in a befitting manner on Tuesday.
They have chalked out elaborate programmes for the day.
A colourful rally will be held on the BFDC premises in the morning.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will inaugurate the programme by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the morning.
State Minister for Information Tarana Halim, member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Ministry AKM Rahmat Ullah, committee member Sukumar Ranjon Ghosh and Information Secretary Abdul Malek will be present on the occasion.
A seminar will be held at BFDC. A cultural function will follow the seminar.
The Film Development Corporation (FDC) was established on April 3, 1957 after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman tabled a bill in the provincial assembly of erstwhile East Pakistan.unb
