Bangladesh’s trailblazing golfer Siddikur Rahman took a gradual upward turn to finish on joint 40th in the US$500,000 Bank BRI Indonesia Open after final round at the Pondok Indah Golf Course in Jakarta on Sunday.
The two-time Asian Tour winner aggregated four-under-par 284 [74-71-70-69], 14 shots behind the title winner, Justin Harding of South Africa.
Harding put an exclamation point on the closely contested final day, as he carded a one-under-par 71 to win his maiden Asian Tour title.
The 32-year-old South African dropped two shots on holes — seven and eight — and bounced back as it mattered with three birdies for emerging victorious, carding an 18-under-par 270 total.
In the final round, Siddikur carded six birdies against one bogey and a double bogey for three-under-par 69.
He carded two-under in the 3rd after one-under on the 2nd day and two-over on the opening day. He shared his spot with six other golfers.unb
