BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was released from the city’s United Hospital on Wednesday morning as he is now fine.
He went to his Uttara residence after doctors discharged him around 10:00am, said BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
Sayrul said doctors released him as the BNP secretary general is now doing fine.
Fakhrul was taken to the United Hospital after he had complained of chest pain at his Uttara residence on Monday morning.
He received treatment under the supervision of cardiovascular specialist Prof Dr Momenuzzaman.
An angiogram of Fakhrul was done on Tuesday morning, and doctors said they did not find any abnormality in his heart.
Noted Jurist Dr Kamal Hossain visited Fakhrul at the hospital on Tuesday night.
