Police recovered the bodies of two people, including that of an elderly woman, in Rajbari and Sylhet districts early Saturday.
In Rajbari, a throat-silt body of an elderly woman was recovered from her house at Danga Hatimahan village in Baliakandi upazila around 4 am.
The deceased was identified as Nurjahan Begum, 70, wife of late Belayet Hossain of the village.
On information, police recovered the body from her house and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy, said Ajmal Huda, officer-in-charge of Baliakandi Police Station.
In Sylhet, the body of a young man was recovered from a paddy field at Khasirchak village in Zakiganj upazila after he had gone missing two weeks back.
The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman Khakan, 18, son of late Jamal Uddian of the village.
Informed by locals, police recovered the body buried in the paddy field, said Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Zakiganj Police Station.
It was sent to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.unb
