Three people, including two day-labourers and a minor boy, were killed in a landslide while removing slope soil from a hill at Dakkhin Rajanagar in Rangunia upazila on Saturday.
Rangunia upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) M Kamal Hossain said two labourers, Didar, 25, and Amir Ali, 40, residents of the area, were cutting soil from a hill in the afternoon when Atib, 8, hailing from the same area, was playing nearby.
At one stage, a chunk of land suddenly fell on the labourers and the boy, leaving the trio dead on the spot.
On information, members of Fire Service and Civil Defence reached the spot and recovered the bodies around 5 pm, the UNO added. unb
