The Owners of CNG refueling stations of the country have threatened indefinite strike from October 30 protesting the hike in lease charges by Roads and Highways Department (RHD).
CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners’ Association President Masud Khan announced the strike in a press briefing on Wednesday.
He alleged that the government has not listened to them despite they have been pressing the government for past few years to meet our demands.
“The strike will start from 6am on October 30 in all the CNG filling stations of the country,” he added.
He also said that the strike will continue until their demands are met.
The other two demands are not to hike the gas price and to implement the proposals by Energy Ministry.
Masud Khan said that on December 17, 2016, the Energy Ministry submitted a report recommending to implement some of the demands by the owners.
While asked if the common people will suffer from their action, he said they have no option left but the strike.
