Private mobile operator Banglalink has introduced ‘Doctor’s Appointment’, a new feature in its “Healthlink 789” service that will help Banglalink customers to get over-the-phone appointments of specialist physicians.
The feature has been introduced with a view to making the doctor appointment system easier for Banglalink customers who are in need of medical assistance, said a spokesperson of Banglalink.
By dialing 789, Banglalink customers will be able to contact especially trained healthcare professionals, who will provide medical suggestions along with appointments of specialist physicians based on the particular health conditions and locations of the customers, the spokesperson told UNB.
Through this 24/7 service, customers can get access to more than 7000 doctors and renowned hospitals such as Square Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Samarita Hospital etc. Charge for this is only Tk.5/min (10 sec pulse applicable).

With this addition of ‘Doctor’s Appointment’ in the current product, Banglalink customers will be able to get easy access to appointments with renowned physicians in the country, the spokesperson said quoting Sanjay Vaghasia.
Launched back in 2008 as one of the first digital healthcare services in the country, Healthlink 789 has been serving customers across the country with success for nearly a decade. Doctor’s appointment feature is an enhancement of the existing product, the spokesperson added.unb
