Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned to Bangladesh after a two-day India visit where she attended the BRICS-BIMSTEC outreach summit.
The special Biman Bangladesh flight carrying her left the Indian state of Goa just after 7am local time and landed at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport around 10:30am.
India’s Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar, Goa’s Science, Technology and Environment Minister Alina Saldanha saw her off at the airport.
The Indian envoy in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla and the Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali were also present.
